Police Deployed At Ndejje Campus

POLICE were on Tuesday deployed at Ndejje University main campus in Luweero, after a students’ strike over the delayed display of last semester’s results, reports Frederick Kiwanuka. Stone-wielding students stormed the Academic Registrar’s office accusing the administration of failure to display the exam results for over a month. They said their sponsors needed to know the exam results before further sponsorship. The administration responded by displaying the results on the notice board and by the time the Police arrived, the situation had calmed down. Students thereafter deserted the campus for fear of being arrested by Police. Ends
